This pre-service training curriculum is designed to instill in you the values necessary to thrive as a NCGAL Child Advocate Volunteer, including critical thinking, self-awareness, respect for all points of view, for the rights and dignity of all children and for effective collaboration with the court and others in the child welfare system. It will also help you understand how the skills and knowledge you currently possess will transfer to the advocacy role you will assume on behalf of children.
